Chiropractic

What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractors are primary health care practitioners, meaning you do not need a referral to visit a Chiropractor and they can diagnose your neuromusculoskeletal condition. Chiropractors are trained in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions of the muscles, joints, bones and nerves. Treatment is hands on and often includes homecare and advice. Your Chiropractor may refer you for an x-ray or to another health care professional if he/she/they feel that your condition requires further investigation. At Bee Well integrated Health Centre, our team of professionals work toegther to offer you the best possible patient centered care.

What is an “adjustment”?

The most commonly used technique by Chiropractors is spinal manipulation or “adjustments”. It’s a non-invasive, precise movement to a joint to help relieve pain and discomfort and restore range of motion in the spine and other joints. This helps to decrease the pain and inflammation associated with many common mechanical injuries and improves range of motion.

What to expect on your first visit

  1. After booking your initial consult, you will be emailed your intake forms to complete prior to your visit
  2. During your first appointment, your Chiropractor will review the information on the forms and ask additional questions to learn more about your past and current healthcare needs
  3. Your Chiropractor will then perform a physical examination that is used to develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan. If Chiropractic care is not the best therapy for you, or if your condition requires further investigation such as lab work or imaging, then we will make the appropriate referral to another healthcare provider.
