Dr. Matt (Chiropractor)

Dr. Matt Kennedy is originally from Inverness, Cape Breton. He is a “Class of 2018” graduate from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) and he graduated from Mount Saint Vincent University (MSVU) with a Bachelor in Science Communication in 2013. Matt moved to Halifax, with his wife, Dr. Maggie, a fellow chiropractor from Nova Scotia. Together they own and operate Bee Well IHC.

Matt practices diversified chiropractic, functional integrated acupuncture, dry needling and has a small niche in treating adolescent sports injuries due to his many hours spent as an Athletic Trainer.

Matt served as the Athletic Trainer for “the Ranger’s” hockey team of the Nova Scotia Major Bantam Hockey league U15 from 2018-2022. In the past he has provided Athletic Trainer services to the Millwood High Football and Hockey teams and covered a number of Sackville High wrestling tournaments. Over the past 4 years Matt has covered approximately 150 games.

Matt is also the current President of the Council for the Nova Scotia Chiropractic Association and has been involved with the Council since 2018. In 2021, he was awarded the “Chiropractor of the Year” by the Nova Scotia College of Chiropractors. He serves as a member of the National Insurance Committee (NIC) and Nova Scotia’s Representative for National Leadership meetings of the Canadian Chiropractic Association (CCA).

When Dr. Matt is not treating patients, he can usually be found enjoying the beauty of Nova Scotia with Maggie and their dog Brewer, relaxing on a beach in Cape Breton or with a golf club in hand.
